Pet Shop Boys release today “The forgotten child", the fourth and final song from their “Agenda” EP which is now available.
Discussing the EP, Neil Tennant said: “It contains three satirical songs and one rather sad song. I think it’s because of the times we’re living through.” The four tracks were produced by Tim Powell and Pet Shop Boys and recorded towards the end of last year. They will not be included on Pet Shop Boys’ next album which is being produced by Stuart Price and is due for release in the autumn.
Pet Shop Boys this week will make available four brand new songs from their new EP “Agenda”. The second song on the EP, “On social media”, can now be listened to on streaming services, download stores and on YouTube. Find the song on digital services and YouTube via the links below.
“On social media” follows the release of “Give stupidity a chance” yesterday. Another song will be made available tomorrow and a fourth and final song on Friday.
A CD of “Agenda” is also available to pre-order exclusively with Pet Shop Boys’ once-a-year publication “Annually", which will be published on April 12th. Find out more at the link below. A 12-inch vinyl EP of the four tracks will also be commercially released on April 12th.

Neil: “We’re talking about extreme rich – oligarchs and that kind of thing. The super-rich.” Chris: “The ones that don’t pay any tax.”
"Agenda" is released digitally tomorrow and can be pre-ordered now on CD exclusively with this year’s issue of “Annually” as well as on 12-inch vinyl. Both physical formats will be released on April 12.

Tim Powell, born Timothy Martin Powell (June 21, 1979)[1], is a British songwriter, producer and mixer. Powell was a member of the writing and production house, Xenomania, for fourteen years.[2] His first hit "All I Wanna Do" for Dannii Minogue peaked at number four in the UK Singles Chart in 1997.[3] In his fourteen years at Xenomania, Powell contributed to hit records such as "Hole in the Head" and "Round Round" by Sugababes, "Call the Shots" by Girls Aloud and "Love etc." by Pet Shop Boys.
In March 2010, Powell split from Xenomania to become an independent songwriter and producer. Following his departure, Powell co-wrote "I'm in Love" by Alex Gaudino and co-wrote and produced Ed Drewett's debut single "Champagne Lemonade", released in October 2010.[4]
Powell collaborated again with Pet Shop Boys co-writing and producing their single, "Together", which features on their album Ultimate.[5]
2012 saw Powell work and share writing and/or production credits with Paloma Faith's',"Picking Up the Pieces" (co-write),[6] Saint Etienne for their album "Words & Music", Jess Mills single "For My Sins" and the third track on Little Mix's debut album DNA, "Change Your Life", released on 19 November 2012.
Powell collaborated with Pet Shop Boys for a third time in 2019 on the track "Give stupidity a chance" from their Agenda E.P. [7]
